This is Where We Maximize Investment

An extraordinary opportunity with the potential to transform the Grossman School of Business into one of the finest business programs in the world is within our reach.

In October 2015, when the UVM Foundation publicly launched Move Mountains: The Campaign for The University of Vermont, Steven Grossman ’61 — a long-time supporter of UVM’s business school and a member of the UVM Foundation board — contributed $20 million to the business school. It was the largest gift in UVM’s history at that time and the University renamed the Grossman School of Business to honor the donation.

The Grossman Challenge, created by Steven Grossman, brings to life the entrepreneurial spirit of the Grossman School of Business by enlisting the support of the entire UVM community. If alumni, faculty and friends can generate $10 million in commitments to new or existing endowments before June 30, 2017, Steven Grossman and the Grossman Family Foundation will contribute $5 million.

Donations eligible for the Grossman Challenge can be earmarked to support a number of initiatives at all levels:

  • New endowment funds (minimum gift of $50,000)
  • Existing endowments for scholarships and professorships in the Grossman School of Business
  • The Grossman Endowment
  • The School of Business Administration Endowment Fund
  • Expansion project of the Grossman School of Business
  • Janus Forum Debate Series

To be successful, we need your support today. Steven Grossman and the Grossman Family Foundation have already made a commitment to excellence at the Grossman School of Business. Alumni and friends have the chance to help us achieve our goals.
