About the Namesake and Fund
The UVM community mourns the passing of Jessica Rachel Mann ’99, world traveler, fearless adventurer, businessperson, and generous human.
To celebrate Jessica’s life and meaningful UVM experiences, her mother, Sandi Fremont Lucas, has established an endowed internship fund in her memory. The family encourages you to honor Jessica with a gift to the Jessica Rachel Mann ’99 Endowed Internship Fund, which will support internship opportunities for students with a passion and interest in careers in public service and non-profits. All gifts to this fund will have an immediate impact on this generation of change-makers.

Jessica loved live music, the outdoors - hitting the slopes, hiking and bike trails, eating tasty food, and toasting a glass of wine with friends at the end of a great day.
Professionally, Jessica was a committed underwriter in the surety industry where she helped build three start-up commercial surety businesses. She enjoyed working closely with colleagues traveling to meet with her brokers and clients.
Jessica's was born in Nairobi, Kenya and grew up in places such as Brazil, Mexico, and Zaire. After traveling extensively, she graduated from University of Vermont (UVM) obtaining her MBA from Thunderbird in Arizona. Jessica and Sarah created their forever home in Denver, Colorado.
