A. Bradley Soule Award

Presented to an alum whose loyalty and dedication to The Larner College of Medicine most emulate those qualities as found in the award’s first recipient, A. Bradley Soule, M.D.'28.

The LCOM Alumni Association Awards give recognition to medical and Ph.D./Masters alumni who have been outstanding in their service to the College, the community at large, or their career accomplishments. Strong consideration is given to nominees who demonstrate outstanding commitment to equity in medicine, reflecting the College's mission "to benefit Vermont and the world through engagement with diverse communities.


A distinguished radiologist, educator, and leader, Dr. Soule played a pivotal role in saving and strengthening the College during a critical period of probation in the 1930s, leading efforts to reorganize the curriculum, recruit faculty, and improve facilities.


Over his nearly 54-year career, he was celebrated as both a superb teacher and a guiding force in the College’s growth, leaving a legacy of service, leadership, and devotion to medical education.
