Distinguished Service Award
This award honors alumni who have given exceptional service to the University of Vermont.

Established in 1958, this award recognizes dedicated and visionary volunteer leaders whose loyal, selfless, and sustained service to the University of Vermont and the Alumni Association Board of Directors has strengthened the University's reputation and advanced its mission.
Nominees should demonstrate:
Exceptional Volunteer Leadership: Through dedicated service to the Alumni Association, UVM Foundation or UVM. They take initiative, lead by example, and go above and beyond in support of the university.
Advance the Mission and Reputation of UVM: Their work brings favorable recognition to the University and enhances the visibility and impact of UVM.
Pride: These individuals serve as proud ambassadors for UVM, speaking positively about the University and actively encouraging others to stay connected, support, and celebrate its achievements.
Support Student Recruitment and Success: They encourage prospective students to consider UVM and contribute to efforts that help the University attract, welcome, and retain new generations of Catamounts.
They act out of a deep love for the University of Vermont and a belief in the power of community, connection, and service.
Nominees should be UVM Alumni who exemplify the spirit of loyal volunteerism and who have made a lasting impact on the UVM community.
