Kidder Outstanding Faculty Award honors a full-time faculty member with at least five years of service at the University of Vermont who exemplifies excellence in teaching. The award recognizes those who inspire lasting impact through their ability to motivate students, foster enthusiasm and engagement, provide dedicated advising, and positively shape campus life beyond the classroom.
Nominees should demonstrate:
Excellence in Teaching: Demonstrated effectiveness in engaging, motivating, and inspiring students across a range of learning styles and academic backgrounds.
Impact on Student Learning: The ability to provoke intellectual curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and foster a lifelong passion for learning.
