Presented to alumni who have maintained a high standard of medical service and who have achieved an outstanding record of community service or assumed other significant responsibilities not directly related to medical practice.

Nominees should meet the following criteria:

• Nominee must be a graduate of the Larner College of Medicine.

• Meaningful contributions to improving health outcomes, access to care, or quality of healthcare services.

• Leadership in charitable, civic, educational, public health, humanitarian, or advocacy initiatives.

• Exemplifies integrity, service, leadership, and commitment to the welfare of others.

Nomination Process

Who can nominate? 

Alumni, faculty, staff, students, family members, and friends of the university are encouraged and welcome to submit nominations. Self-nominations are also accepted.

Required Materials:

The nominator should submit a typed and dated letter explaining how the nominee exemplifies the award criteria and spirit of the award. We encourage nominators to include specific examples, accomplishments, and evidence of impact.

Optional Supporting Materials

Additional Letters of Support

Additional nomination or support letters may strengthen a nomination file but are not required. Nomination files remain active for five years and may be updated over time.

Supplemental Materials

Supporting materials may include news articles, résumés or CVs, award announcements, publications, LinkedIn profiles, or other materials that provide additional context about the nominee’s accomplishments and impact.
