Frequently Asked Questions
Reunion is a Catamount tradition! All alumni are welcome to attend, regardless of their Class Year. In 2026, we expect to specially celebrate returning alums in class years ending in ’1 or ’6 who are also celebrating their 10th, 25th, 40th, and 50th milestone reunions – as well as returning members of our Green and Gold Society.
Reunion will be October 2-4, 2026 in Burlington, Vermont and will take place in alignment with UVM Weekend.
Reunion is free to attend!
Everyone wants to visit Vermont during peak foliage, so we encourage you to book your lodging reservations now! Information about a range of Burlington area lodging accommodations may be found via www.helloburlingtonvt.com/places-to-stay/ online. There is a diverse array of lodging options in the Greater Burlington area – with more coming online regularly. Rather than offer “hotel blocks,” we simply encourage all alums to book early and do so based on the option that’s best suited to your travel plans and interest!
A preliminary reunion schedule is anticipated to be made available online by the middle of July of 2026 with registration anticipated to go live in August. The latest information, including the preliminary schedule, registration information and more will be made available here in the coming months: go.uvm.edu/lcomreunion.
Alumni have shared with us that the number one reason people return for Reunion is to reconnect with their classmates. A number of our medical alums also hold other degrees from UVM and some further participate as lead volunteers lending their time and talent to the ongoing success of the next generation of UVM students. For these reasons, we are enhancing your experience by folding the weekends together into one weekend of signature programming.
For some time, the UVM Foundation has been monitoring alumni participation in key Reunion Years. This included conducting an alumni engagement survey in 2024, which helped identify those milestone medical reunions with a greater resonance for our alums. Our observations in recent years – both qualitative and quantitative – indicate that these are the milestone reunions most likely to resonate with the most UVM medical alums and inspire them to return to campus in higher numbers.
At the same time, and as stated above on this webpage, all alumni are warmly encouraged to come home to campus this fall, and any other classes wishing to gather are welcome to self-organize in conjunction with the weekend.
We proudly celebrate any medical alum in a class year beyond the 50th Reunion as a member of the Green & Gold Society. For 2026, any medical alum who graduated in 1975 or earlier is considered a member of the Green & Gold Society.
While reunion events will be designed with milestone reunion classes in mind, many scheduled campus activities are open to all alumni, from opportunities to hear from the Dean and/or faculty to the campus-wide Rally’s Rally– where hundreds of UVM alums from various schools and Colleges are anticipated to be gathered on Saturday, October 3rd in advance of the home soccer game. Go Cats! Additional events and activities open to all alums will be viewable on the online schedule as additional details are released in the run-up to Reunion.
